Rob Currie

Hey, I'm Rob, and I'm a regular guy from Dundee. I do a few things, but I mainly write fiction, which you can read here.

Writing

Here are a couple of plays I’ve written that you’re totally welcome to read.  If you want to do anything else with them, get in touch: robcurrie88 at gmail dot com.

The Aging Process
Radio play
Peg’s not happy, because her kids have just dumped her in an care home.  Max isn’t happy either, because he hates this village, and his parents.  And Henry hasn’t been happy for a while, but he’s not really sure why.
(“Where do you get your ideas from?”)

Boy-friend
Radio play
When she was younger, Becky made a mistake.  Quite a few mistakes, actually, which all led up to The Big Mistake.  The first one - the mistake that started the whole thing - was falling in love with her best friend.
(“Where do you get your ideas from?”)

Entitled
Short play
While Mercedes is in trouble, her mother Kylie is just trouble.

I’ve also read a few pieces that I’ve written (short stories and monologues) at Hotchpotch, an open mic night for writers in the Dundee area.  Some of them were recorded, and you can watch them on my vimeo page, which is here.

I’ll be adding to this page often, so please check back sometime!
